UV5118 Radio Details
The Kd1mu UV5118 is a versatile dual band analog radio produced by IRadio Electronics Co. LTD NS operating at 136-174Mhz, and 400-470Mhz. It has continuous receive coverage from 108 to 520MHz and receives AM and FM modulated signals. In addition, it supports FM Broadcast Radio, Weather forecasts from NOAA, and air traffic communications on 108 to 137 Mhz.

PTT over Cellular (PoC)
Push-to-Talk over Cellular (PoC) is a modern communication system that allows users to communicate instantly over mobile networks by pressing a single button, similar to traditional two-way radio systems. However, unlike traditional Land Mobile Radio (LMR) systems that rely on dedicated radio frequencies and infrastructure, PoC leverages the widespread coverage of cellular networks (3G, 4G LTE, and 5G) to provide near-instant voice communication.
With the growing availability of cellular networks and advancements in digital technology, PoC has emerged as a powerful alternative to traditional LMR systems, especially for organizations requiring wide-area communications without the limitations of radio frequency constraints.
PoC versus LMR

DM-4R Radio Details

DM-4R versus RT-4D
The Kd1mu DM-4R and the RT-4D are the same hardware produced by IRadio Electronics Co. LTD of Xiamen China. The RD-4R has additional branding on the software and license whereas the DM-4R maintains the manufacturers labeling. Although the hardware and software are the same, we recommend loading the software from your vendor to avoid any warranty issues.
