Who We Are

Welcome to KD1MU Radio Store, your trusted source for all things radio communication, proudly serving the amateur radio, GMRS, business LMR, and PoC communities.

When I retired from a 40 year career in Engineering and Product Management, and I wanted to give back to the community. I decided to seek out high value products and offer them to fellow Hams and GMRS operators. When I couldn’t find a great product, I searched out partners who would work with me to design and build quality products that perform well. We designed our own antennas and LiFePo batteries. The products I sell are not cheap knockoffs. I take on close partnerships with the factories that build my products and make sure they have the features Hams and GMRS operators need. If something is missing and technically possible to do, I work with the engineers to get it implemented.

My core partner is IRadio Electonics Co LTD of Xienman China. Our first product is the DM-4R DMR radio with room for 280,000 Radio ID entries. We are looking at bringing IP67 products to market.

OUR STORY

With over 50 years of experience in the two-way radio industry, our expertise runs deep. I’ve been a Ham since 1971 and a GMRS operator since 2019. What started as a small, local operation has grown into a comprehensive store serving radio operators across various industries and hobbies. Our journey began with a simple goal: to provide high-quality radio equipment and outstanding customer service. Decades later, that same goal drives us to become a leading supplier of communication products.
