Hi quality, low SWR stick antenna made of stiff material tuned to the GMRS frequencies. Unlike other antennas that are tuned to the low end of the radio's coverage spectrum, this antenna is tuned to the GMRS band. We are testing these antennas to ensure that they are high quality construction and meet specifications. Antennas are 18" long and 1/16" think. The base is .5 in diameter.


SWR is ~ 1:1 at GMRS frequencies as measured by the manufacturer using a professional VNA and antenna analyzer software and a iradio DM-4R chassis as a mount.

I get similar results with my nanoVNA-F2 and nanoVNA-saver software. I measure impedance of ~ 50 ohms switch a relatively low reactance. I am also using a DM-4R chassis as a mount. Calibration is done at the chassis and phase adjusted to 0 using electrical delay 68 ps due to connector conversion at the mount.

NanoVNA-saver calculated inductance to be -10nH and capacitance 7 pf at 50 ohm impedance.
